Gallery Walk Reflection 1/30/15

Prompt - What impressions are you left with after our gallery walk?

The impression that i am left with after the gallery was is that I learned a lot of new things. Some of the topics, I've never heard about. Over all, they were very interesting and I definitely learned something new. One (or two) of the articles that stuck out to me were the articles on ISIS.

Saul and Sonny had this (ISIS) article for their aow. First of all, this stuck out to me because it was the only one that I saw two people had; also, this is still going on. The articles were about Japan's ISIS hostage crisis. A quick description of ISIS from the article "About ISIS - A quick summary of what I've observed" is: "The ISIS is a very radical Islamic organization whose stated objective is to use force and military conquest to reestablish the caliphate and to impose their idea of strict Islamic rule in the Middle East." Basically what happened was that ISIS captured two people from Japan and are holding them hostage.

ISIS also wanted money, so they made a video of one hostages holding the other's dead body. I found this very shocking and I think it's also disturbing. In conclusion, this is only one of the many things I learned from the gallery walk and my impression of it was surprised (at how much I learned),
